As part of the process of integrating the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and its Autonomous Administration (now officially declared ‘dissolved’) into the Syrian state, a key issue has been the question of Kurdish linguistic and cultural rights, including the right for Kurdish children to receive instruction in the Kurdish language.
