The various forces and apparatuses linked to Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, which dominates the insurgent-held areas of Idlib and its environs, continue to launch periodic recruitment campaigns via social media. The most recent recruitment campaign is of the General Security Apparatus, which is recruiting via initial contact on Telegram with its recruitment offices. I contacted one of these offices and received the following message, which features information on recruitment conditions and the recruitment process:

In the event of meeting the following conditions:

. Age 18-28.
. Ready to fill in the recruitment form and offer the required data.
. Readiness for the required courses and camps on request.
. Not being among those condemned for a felony or heinous crime.
. Being in good health and bodily fitness and not having impediments or impeding injuries.
. Being good at reading and writing.
