New Report: Syria and Captagon

I have a new special report out for the Middle East Forum on the issue of Syria and captagon production, which has been increasingly highlighted in media reports and popular discourse. I examine some of the historical context of the debate about captagon production in Syria and also discuss policy options, cautioning against sensationalism and drawing up a new ‘captagon strategy’ in a bid to look ‘tough’ on the issue.
