Reports on the presence of Israeli forces in southern Syria tend to focus on occupation-style practices in the areas of Sunni localities within Deraa and Qunaytra provinces. But the Israeli presence also extends into Druze localities in both Qunaytra and Damascus countryside. An example is the Druze village of Hadhr, which lies opposite the Druze village of Majdal Shams in the Israeli-controlled Golan Heights.
