This article is a bunch of nonsense. The myth of a multicultural paradise in Al-Andalus is used by Islamists to this very day to terrorize non-Muslims.

Which Islamists today are using the 'myth of a multicultural paradise in al-Andalus' to terrorise non-Muslims? If anything the jihadists who invoke al-Andalus very much do so in the spirit of military conquest and victory over non-Muslims and 'apostates'.

ISIS frequently made use of Al-Andalus tropes. Muslim theocracies also frequently invoke Al-Andalus tropes in order to diminish non-Muslims.
