Since the start of Israel’s escalation against Hezbollah and the ground incursion into Lebanon, tracking Hezbollah casualties has become somewhat more difficult. From my own perspective, I am interested in casualties among personnel who had a notable role in Hezbollah’s intervention in Syria in support of the government there, or are relatives of such figures in Hezbollah. As it turns out, one Hezbollah fighter recently killed was Ali Muhammad Safi al-Din, whose father had a prominent role in Hezbollah’s intervention in Syria. Who is Ali’s father?
